Making Mommy daughter PJ pants out of a set
Matching jammie pants out of a set I bought at TJ Maxx Saturday.
I love flannel pajama pants, but don't love stiff flannel shirts to sleep in. So when I saw this set with pretty purple flowers, I was hoping that Hannah's legs still weren't longer than the sleeves. They're not, but I don't think I'd be able to get away with doing this after she's 4 or so.
Using the same method that I used back here to turn wool sweaters into felted longies, I took a pair of pants that were loose on her (because the woven flannel has no give) and traced and sewed elastic-top jammie pants, leaving the cuff all done, all I had to do was the crotch and the elastic casing at the top.
Hers have the pretty satin piping down at the bottom, since that was on the sleeve.
So much fun to snuggle together, don't you think?
