Home Made All Natural Rose Hips and Lavendar Bath salts

I made some bath salts to carry in my Mamacloth store, and they are just too fun. I thought I'd share, they're pretty simple to make once you have the ingredients. I was able to find all of mine at the health food store in Billings when I was down there last. I got everything except for the essential oils from the bulk section.

I used:
Sea salt
Rose hips
Lavender buds
Jasmine essential oil (which is different than fragrance oil, fragrance oil is synthetic, once you've used essential oil you can totally tell the difference)

Just mixed it up until it looked/smelled right and put it in 8-ounce tins to store.

I think this could also be a fun project to show layering and mixtures and density (when shaken, the light lavender buds rise to the top, the heavy salt settles to the bottom). My dad is a retired 8th grade science teacher... can you tell? :)

I love your blog so much! I am so happy I came across it. Can I put up a link to your etsy store in my sidebar? I am working on a section with mommy-run businesses . . .

That makes me want to go take a bath. I usually shower, but that looks so yummy to bathe in!!!

Thanks! I will surely add this as part of my bath salt recipes. I was kinda looking for new recipes to try and looked around a little bit. I usually get recipes here, but I would like to know if I can use Epsom salts with this recipe.
